Into the Blue
EP featuring the single “Why Does the Road”
After unveiling his previous solo record, All Things Considered, and subsequently launching an EP with the Already Taken band (No Cover Charge), Dadio returns with a new offering as part of series of releases planned to to serve up his music in bite-sized chunks. The first of these, 2024’s Into the Blue, features a collection of songs previously released as digital singles in the preceding months, as well as one brand new song, “Why Does the Road.”
Across six meticulously-crafted songs, the pianist traverses a spectrum from upbeat to reflected, all while maintaining top-notch production quality. In an era of commoditized music, Dadio’s eye on craft is a welcome bucking of trends and Into the Blue is deserving of a spot on your CD shelf or in your streaming library.
